Fries are the most ordered food item on DoorDash in the U.S. but chicken quesadillas, garlic naan and fried rice aren't far behind.
DoorDash released the Dash From the Past 2023 Trend Report analyzing this year's order data from Jan. 1 to Oct. 31. The report found that fries maintained their status as the most ordered food of the year and the past decade.
The delivery service, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in January, noticed that 2023 was big year for finger foods from mozzarella sticks, pizza, wings and chips among the popular orders. The report shares information from the top desserts and most unexpected pairings ordered through the service's DoubleDash feature.
DoorDash even shared which food orders were paired with ibuprofen after a holiday hangover.
Fruits and vegetables made up the majority of grocery orders from strawberries and cucumbers to red onions, the report shows.
Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston were the cities with the most coffee orders made, according to the report.
